Fellow Android users, the season of Android modding is upon us. Cyanogen pushed out CM 12 nightlies for select number of devices earlier this month. The number of devices officially supported by Cyanogenmod has grown sufficiently. Earlier this week Note 4 received its first official CM 12 nigthly. Wondering why should you switch to CM 12 over your current rom? What advantages does it offer? Keep reading to find out.
1-Better Privacy

I've seen a lot of users complaining about lack of a robust privacy system in Android. Cyanogenmod gets this one right by providing users with complete details about the permissions a specific app is demanding. Don't like Facebook Messenger using your location service? But you don't want to delete it completely? Give CM 12's privacy guard a try!
2-Theme Engine
Theme engine is one of the most influential Cyanogenmod features. The experience is seamless, which allows you to give your stale looking UI a fresh new look. At the current moment, there aren't a lot of CM 12 themes since it was implemented in a recent nightly. Considering some themes that developers came up with in CM 11, you can expect some great themes coming your way soon.

3-Regular Updates
Regular updates are exclusive to nightlies, some might consider this as a hassle; having to download an update each day might be mistaken as a frustrating thing to do. Updating your nightly to the latest build isn't a must thing to do. But if you go ahead and do it, it's going to be worth those five minutes. What you essentially get are bug fixes and sometimes new features. The advantage regular updates have over traditional monthly cycles is that you can always expect that annoying bug to be fixed the next day.

4-Even More Customization
You probably saw this one coming. Cyanogenmod has always offered vast variety of customizations you can choose from. From adding and rearranging your notification pull-down toggles to adding shortcuts on your lock screen, Cyanogenmod is full of neat customizations that makes you love using your Android even more. New features seem to be coming every now and then in a nightly. Some of my favorites include having the option to display weather in my notification drawer and adding new toggles.
5-Shortcuts
