iOS 8 is now available

Announced at WWDC, back in June, iOS 8 looked promising. Now that Apple's newest operating system, is now available to download for iPhone, iPad and iPod users can finally experience the changes.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will ship with the new system from Friday September 19, when they go on sale to the public.

iPhones:
iPhone 4s
iPhone 5
iPhone 5s
iPhone 5c
iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will ship with iOS 8 as standard when they go on sale on September 19.

iPads:
iPad 2
3rd and 4th-generation iPad
iPad Air
iPad Mini
iPad Mini with Retina display

iPod:
5th generation iPod Touch

Users can upgrade their compatible devices by opening the Settings menu > General > Software Update. It's recommended to back all your data up before downloading the new software.

Note: Due to millions of people downloading the update, don't be surprised if download is slow even though you have a fast internet connection.
