Thoughts on... Gotham Episode 15

Attention! Spoilers for Gotham: "The Scarecrow" follow.

Remember when I said that last week's episode was about a serial-killer known as Jonathan Crane, a.k.a. the Scarecrow? Well, scratch that because it turns out that the main serial killer from last week's and this week's episode is actually Gerald Crane, Jonathan Crane's father.
Dr. Crane continues his search for adrenal glands, with the purpose of fighting his own fear. This is because he let his wife die some years ago in a fire that happened in his house, while he was still there. Now he tries to take away both his fear, successfully, and his son's fear, unsuccessfully. In the end his lack of fear is ironically what gets him killed. After injecting a lot of the adrenal-gland-serum in his son, the result of it is the opposite, now he can't stop having fear (of a demon-like scarecrow).

We also get some bits of other stuff, like Gordon and Lee's romance, who now works at the precinct and Gordon has made clear that there shall be no kissing in the work place (c'mon man...). Also, the Penguin now officially runs Fish's club (and changed the style) and Maroni will not kill him because of a deal with Falcone (yup, just like that). We also get to see some bits of Fish in a pirate prison, which were boring. There are also some Bruce bits about him going to the woods alone, a tradition he had with his father. Basically, he gets hurt, he has to do everything by himself and Alfred shows up and they bond more.

Penguin now officially runs Fish's club

The episode was overall good, we got to see the beggining of Scarecrow, we... oh wait, that's basically it.

The Verdict: 7/10
- Scarecrow's origin
-Alfred and Bruce bonding moment
