Just as the rumors pointed, Samsung Galaxy Alpha is now official. The thing that differentiates this phone from other Samsung phones is the fact that it has a metal frame.
Unfortunately the specifications are not high end as the frame is. Full specs include:
Samsung’s recommended retail price for the Galaxy Alpha is 599 euros, putting the device at the top of the scale, alongside the Galaxy S5 and the upcoming Note 4. As for the release date its going to be in early September.

- Display: 4.7” HD Super AMOLED (1280 x 720)
- Processor: Exynos 5430 Octa Core (Quad 1.8GHz + Quad 1.3GHz)

I personally think that Samsung just wants to check how the consumers respond to this move, i.e. switching to a much more premium body. If it turns out to be successful they will implement it in their future smartphones.
