Premium Design Is Here to Stay
LG Took A Daring Step
It is without no doubt that LG made some bold moves when it comes to the G5 and I have to say that I appreciate them. The design is quite subjective. I personally dig the design but the odd placement of the camera sensor(s) might make some unhappy. Talking about sensors, there are actually three of them: two residing on the back while a single sensor on the front. One of the two back sensors is actually a wide angle sensor. Apart from that back design, the accessory port is a first for many of us as well. The display will also be always on.
Specs That Impress
The G5 is currently one of the few phones to come with the Snapdragon 820 processor. Although the S7 is also rumored to use the same processor we will have to wait to find that out.
Apart from the 820, the G5 comes with 4 gigs of RAM, a 5.3 inch QHD display (with 554 ppi pixel density), dual 16 mp cameras on the back with an 8 mp front sensor, 32 gigs of internal storage (micro SD slot to upgrade upto 200 GB), a fingerprint scanner, USB TYPE-C connector and a 2800 mAh removable battery.
The LG G5 is looking to be really impressive and it fixes most of the complaints regarding it's predecessor, the G4. The G5 is a combination of good decisions and you have to give props to LG for this.
